Day 13
We were rudely awoken by the alarm at 7.25 am and I fumbled about to find the snooze button. The morning was sunny but crisp. We went across the road to the services club for breakfast and as today was a special date.......1st April. Dale copied an article from the Red Triangle website which detailed a new Alvis that was to be released. We scattered a couple of the leaflets about and several people including Kay picked up on the April fools immediately but we did catch a couple of others.
Today's trip was not to far so we packed up at a leisurely pace leaving Cowra for the journey to Boorowa for morning tea.

Leaving Cowra the country is wide open and rambling. It is perfect country for sheep, and they where scattered everywhere. |
Mike and Pat in the 12/50 motoring on. |
Bob and Lesley (12/50) with Alan and Noeline (12/50) in the distance. |
Bob and Lesley getting closer! |
And closer! |
This is perfect touring country. Minimal traffic and gently sweeping roads. |
We stopped at the most wonderful cafe in Boorowa. The weather continued to be sunny and just warm enough. |
Not sure if it took ten years to build, or it was a celebratory period?? |
Alan and Noeline 12/50 |
From Yass we set off for our final stop in Canberra and our motel for the next 4 days.
Alan's hare has David's Speed 25 in its sights |
Mike and Liz in the Alfa in the streets of Canberra |
Davids Speed 25 dwarfed by New Parliament House in the background. |
Trevor Speed 25 gets a bit close to the building support |
Noeline maintains the symmetry by removing the green one |
Mark arrives at the Motel |
Which way should we go?? |
We gathered for pre-dinner drinks by the pool and wait for new faces ...Ernest and Julia (Silver Eagle) to arrive. |
